The Winn Group works with our client companies on a contingency basis as well as exclusive and retained search engagements. We also perform searches for candidates on an exclusive basis on negotiated terms and conditions. Our fee structure, based as it is on a percentage of the first year's cash compensation, is competitive with firms specializing in disciplines with limited numbers of potential candidates.
We also offer a retained search agreement that we believe is unique in the industry. In the past, the retained search has gotten a "black eye" because, historically, "old line" retained search firms have run up the fees and charges without demonstrable progress. The next thing the client company knew it had paid a lot of money with little or nothing to show for it. Our approach is based on Proven Progress Billing, a concept involving a small Engagement Fee based on a percentage of the estimated recruiting fee, followed by Progress Payments as worthy candidates are interviewed and continuing until a candidate is hired and the search project is complete.
So, why use a retained search? We are convinced after many years of experience that not only does it give the client company the greatest chance for success and attract a larger panel of candidates, it also provides us with the utmost motivation to succeed!
